Can Gardy's speedy, scrappy approach actually produce a winning team. (This was a big focus at the end of last year and was a main reason to get rid of Hardy and give Nishi, Casilla, Tolbert the middle infield)
Could Ben Revere be converted to a 2nd baseman to hide his weak arm and still keep his bat and speed in the lineup?
Will Gleeman ever find a woman who shares a love of long days spent in bed and asian takeout? Also, what actors would play the Twins front office and Gardy in a Moneyball style movie?
Last week, Nick Nelson prioritized the offseason needs for the Twins. I'd like to hear you and Aaron each prioritize the different positions mostly because I enjoy hearing the two of you have good, honest, intellectual conversation about the Twins. Ideally, you'd talk about things first in a vacuum and then take into consideration the fact that it may be easier to improve some positions of relatively less need than other positions of greater need.
Let's say we have 40 million to spend this offseason. How do fill backup catcher, dh, rf, possible 1st base, ss, #1 starter, #3 starter, closer, and at least 1 more bullpen option. That's almost half a team. Not much in house. Parmalee? Tosoni? I know this is going to be beat into the ground, but it's the first time in 10+ years I have concerns about what this team is/going
Hoff
With Nishi, Hughes, Casilla, Tolbert, and Trevor P is it really necessary to look for middle infielders? They have their issues but it seems that other parts of the team are in much worse condition. Specifically I am talking about pitching.
